Rick Hollis, guitar player for hire

As a guitar player, Rick gained notoriety on the local scene after winning the under 18’s section of the Best Guitarist on the Gold Coast competition when he was just 16 years old. Since then, he has gone on to play nationally and internationally with a host of artists ranging from 80’s pop icons to tribute shows and original bands and done his fair share of live tv work as well.

Rick has been seen performing live on television shows including Big Brother, Home and Away, Channel V, The Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal and Good Morning Australia alongside various artists. Some of the bands and artists Rick has played guitar in or alongside include 1927, Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet, Brian Mannix of Uncanny X-Men, Scott Carne of Kids in the Kitchen, Sean Kelly of Models and Dale Ryder of Boom Crash Opera.

Rick is the guitarist in the Queensland backing band for the Absolutely 80’s show which features a revolving line up of singers from the who’s who of the golden era of Australian rock. If you are a touring artist requiring a guitar player, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
